Moody Air Force Base

Valdosta, Georgia

SES Construction was retained by the U.S. Air Force Center for Engineering Excellence (AFCEE) to convert the low-sloped built-up roof assemblies on three medical facilities at Moody Air Force Base, Georgia to standing seam metal roof systems.

SES retained Raymond Engineering to provide full-time quality assurance inspection services during the re-roofing operations. Our work has consisted of attending the pre-work conference; observing the work performed by the roofing contractor; and preparing daily reports of work activities, deficiencies observed, and actions taken to correct such conditions. Additionally, as part of our support to our inspection staff, we have assisted in the interpretation of work requirements and provided suggestions in resolving roof-related issues.

SES provided us with little advance notice to mobilize to the site since the start of the work was dependent upon approval by AFCEE and weather. We were able to be on site with little more than a day’s notice. Our client and the installation staff have been impressed, not only with the professionalism of our field personnel, but with the quality of our inspection reports that we provide electronically on a daily basis.
