Scope of Work
Raymond was retained to provide a visual survey of two classroom buildings on the campus of Georgia Perimeter College. Recommendations and cost estimates were prepared for both options of repair or replacement of the system. Georgia Perimeter College decided the most cost effective option for them was replacement of the entire roof system. Therefore, this project was expanded to include re-roofing design of both classroom buildings. Also included in these specifications were solutions to the leaks occurring through the brick veneer. Raymond Engineering provided specifications for a built-up roof system and also specifications for the installation of through wall flashings to address the brick veneer leak problems.
This campus holds classes throughout the year both day and evening. Work had to be scheduled so that there was no interruption of classes. Also, to minimize the cost, both projects ran simultaneously. Coordination of both roofing projects was handled through Microsoft Projects. This project came in on-time and on-budget.
